Richard Scotti is a highly skilled construction litigator, having represented owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in all courts and arbitration proceedings in Nevada.  Mr.  Scotti was one of the principal attorneys in the longest civil jury trial in the history of Nevada, Lehrer McGovern Bovis v. Venetian, resulting in a successful verdict for the general contractor plus a seven figure award of interest, costs, and attorneys fees.

As a very active supporter of pro-bono legal-related activities to advance the profession and the community, Mr.  Scotti served for ten years on the Client Security Fund Committee, served for over ten years as a Regional Chair and/or Arbitrator/Mediator for the Fee Dispute Arbitration Committee, served for many years as a Supreme Court Settlement Judge, served as one of the original Supreme Court Foreclosure Mediators, and now serves a Member of the State Bar Board of Governors.

Academically, Mr.  Scotti has excelled as a cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California in political science and international relations, and a top ten percent graduate of University of California, Hastings College of the Law.  Mr.  Scotti served as a Technical Editor of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, and more recently has been a co-author of the Nevada section of the Design Build Deskbook (ABA 4th ed.  2006) and a contributor to the State Bar of Nevada publication of the Nevada Jury Instructions-Civil (2011).
